Senior Simon Moore slides safely into third base against the Sterling-Newman Comets Thursday night. Moore was also the winning pitcher for the E-P Panthers, defeating Newman 6-2.
Continuing his hot streak, senior Alex Bond connected for three hits, bringing in two runs for the night.
The Panthers improve their conference record to 6-3, leaving them only a half-game behind Riverdale (6-2). The Panthers will travel to Amboy Friday night, host Bureau Valley Monday night, and finish the conference schedule with Fulton May 8 in Prophetstown.
