Big Brother Big Sister Luncheon

Erie Schools are very fortunate to have an on-site Big Brother Big Sister Program. Our "Bigs" are Erie High School students who volunteer and are approved by the regional program. Our "Littles" are elementary students whose parents are interested and supportive of the opportunity for their children to have an older student as a special friend. This local Big Brother Big Sister program is organized and supervised by both the regional chapter and by Cindy Weaver and Matt Beck, guidance specialists at our schools.
Big Brothers and Sisters meet their Little brothers and sisters each week at the elementary school. These students spend their time talking, playing games and even doing school work. The elementary students thoroughly enjoy having a special older friend to spend time with each week of the school year.
On Monday, May 5th Erie Schools' Big Brothers & Sisters met
for a farewell lunch with their "Little" brothers and sisters.
Games and activities were shared before the group sat down to a
delicious lunch. Our "Bigs" were thanked with specials poems and
cards from their "Littles."
